Elly and I met each other by stepping outside of our comfort zones and trusting in faith, hope and love! We had never engaged in online dating prior to that time. We can truly say we were both skeptical and intrigued at the same time. Thank God we were willing to step out of the box and into faith.


Brendan and Elly really did that!! They signed up for a Dating App and found love!💘


As the Lord would have it; Brendan and I met within just a few days of us signing up on a Dating App. Even though we were communicating on the platform, we communicated with ease from that very first day. I joked about him wanting to give me his phone number so quickly and in turn, I gave him my ring size! 💍🤷🏾‍♀️That was truly hilarious! The following day, I called him, his voicemail was full so I figure, great! He’ll never know I called.😜 Within hours I heard the Lord tell me to get off that site. I contacted him via the website and left him a message to bid him farewell and did not look back. That evening I went to church and ask the Lord to forgive me for getting on a dating site. It was my one and done…so I thought, but God had other plans!🙏🏾🥰


Did I do that?!? Elly gave Brendan her ring size the first day they met online! 🤭


It was through our trust in the Lord and our steps of faith we watched our prayers get answered. Honestly, Elly and I knew from our very first hello it was God that brought us together with His touch of favor. From our first hello on the phone, I knew we would trust in the Lord to order and guide our steps! 🚶🏾‍♀️‍➡️🚶🏼‍➡️


What many of you may not have known is that, very early in our relationship, we made the decision to not meet in person right away. The decision was well calculated because to us, communication was key! We both enjoyed our long distance status because it allowed us to get to know each other better. We wrote to each other daily during that time and we still do! 


Fun fact! Brendan and Elly still write to each other daily!📝

One thing for sure, we both knew this was much more than just a chance meeting online and we both insisted God would have found a way to connect us. Even though he was in Massachusetts at the time and I was in Colorado.


In our 3 plus years together, we clocked more phone time and writing time than we have actually spent in each other’s presence.📲


Are you saying, Elly and Brendan spoke more on the phone and in writing than spent time together in person?🤔


Brendan and I didn’t meet until the day he moved to Florida!😆 We were communicating for 11 months by phone calls, emailing and texting. We fell in love and he moved to Florida! All without ever seeing each other in person!🥰


Did I hear right? You never met in person before moving 1,300 miles to be with Elly?🚚


From the start, God was the center of our relationship. One component both Elly and I knew we wanted was a covenant relationship and the blessing of a 3 strand cord. Not easily broken! We talked often about it being Jesus, Brendan and Elly and an overflow of blessings and favor that comes with that. We called it our Triangle with Jesus at the head!🔺


As we have gotten engaged and are now planning and preparing for our beautiful wedding and marriage together, we are both very thankful that we stepped out in faith! Most importantly we are thankful we trusted God to step out of our comfort zones. Know this one thing, as you trust in God, God does not fail you. Even when your faith fails you, God is still faithful! I thank God daily for how He brought Brendan and I together.👩🏾‍❤️‍👨🏼


When God brought Brendan into my life, he also answered my prayers concerning children. From a very young age the Lord showed me that I would have 3 kids and it was such a blessing when I learned that Brendan has 3 beautiful children. It’s such an honor and blessing to love Dylan, Nicole and Amanda and call them my own. Wait…What? Did God promise you 3 children and kept His Promise, even though it didn’t happen the way you thought it would?🙏🏾💪🏾❤️🙋🏾‍♀️


Elly and Brendan both love each other very much, and they could not celebrate this moment without you!
